Let’s jump into an adventure in Western Washington and beyond!
Have some questions? Maybe these FAQs will help.
-
You don’t need a perfectly trained or super-still dog for great photos — honestly, most of the dogs I photograph never sit still! About 90% of the dogs you see in my portfolio were photographed while on a lead. This keeps your dog secure, relaxed, and free to be their wiggly, wonderful self while I capture beautiful images.
So no worries at all — I work with your dog’s natural energy, not against it!

Is your pup shy/reactive? No worries! I have a long lens that will help me keep their personal bubble wide so they feel more comfortable. We take our time and give as many breaks as they need throughout our session time.
They run the show and with years of experience with animals, I usually can tell when they are calling the end of the session.

Western Washington does loves it’s rain! For dog only sessions, especially those that love the water, we embrace it! They may look soggy but you know your dog is having an amazing time!
For family photos, if the rain or snow not to bad, let’s get creative with umbrellas, rain coats and boots!
As long as roads and the weather are safe we can make it work but if doesn’t work out, we can always reschedule for a less rainy/snowy/smokey day.

Yes! When we schedule our pre-consultation zoom call we will go over locations to see which will best fit what you want to be displayed in your house. We live in the PNW and there are so many different places within and hour drive from Mt. Rainier to the coastal shore line.
Are you outside of the area? I love to travel! I’m available to come to your area whether you are down in Oregon or across to Montana mountains!

The golden, glowy 2 hours before sunset is a magical time to capture those nice soft, back lit images that really showcase your pet and your family.
If that time doesn’t work for you though, we can always adjust to others throughout the day! That is the nice thing of photography, its flexible!

Yes!! Even though dogs are more my specialty, I love taking photos of any pet, farm animal or equine you have!
I am happy to come to your house to either set up a little studio or take family candid photos around our house to include these amazing animals that make up your family.

I am a believer that animals need a job so if your pup is a hunting dog, farming/ranching pup, you ride horses across the countryside in a mock hunt, I am game to capture what you see your animal doing.
Only time I will session is if I feel the dog is aggressive or to reactive to get a photo safely, owners are being abusive (physically or verbally to animals or other family members), or the situation is not safe to get the image. Safety is 100% my main focus at our sessions. We want to keep them fun and engaging but if an animal is not liking the area or it’s to busy for them, we can reschedule or move to a different location. In our consultation zoom all information is needed to ensure we do not cause these types of situations.
